Now Available for Review: Draft QDM v5.6 Publication

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has published the DRAFT Quality Data Model (QDM) Version 5.6 for review. We update QDM periodically to support new requirements for electronic clinical quality measures (eCQMs).

The draft QDM v5.6 includes changes to the QDM v5.5 recommended by the QDM User Group.  These changes are highlighted in the change log of the draft version:

  • Added relatedTo attribute to “Procedure, Performed”
  • Created new interpretation attribute for “Laboratory Test, Performed”
  • Updated all definitions and guidance recommended in the QDM v5.5 Guidance Update

We welcome comments and questions on the DRAFT QDM v5.6 publication. Please submit feedback via Jira ticket QDM-257. You must have a Jira account to submit a comment. We will accept comments until 5:00 p.m. ET on November 16, 2020.
