The latest changes to the Quality Data Model (QDM) specification, version 4.3, was released on October 6, 2016. Support for these features and modifications have been implemented in the latest version of the Measure Authoring Tool (MAT) v4.6.0.
QDM v4.3 changes include the removal of functional status templates, and addition of two assessment status categories and underlying attributes. These changes expand the ability of the QDM to look for any type of assessment.

CMS has posted the 2014 Eligible Hospital eCQM Version-Specific IDs on the eCQI Resource Center. For Calendar Year 2015, Eligible Hospitals (EHs) and Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs) submitting Quality Reporting Document Architecture (QRDA) I files must only contain eCQMs using the April 2014 specifications, otherwise the QRDA file will be rejected.

The Bonnie development team released Bonnie version 1.5.0, a major feature release. Bonnie is a tool for testing electronic clinical quality measures (eCQMs) designed to support streamlined and efficient pre-testing of eCQMs, particularly those used in the Meaningful Use (MU) program. This feature release adds support for testing measures using QDM 4.3 and also includes the Clinical Quality Language (CQL) Learning tool and Patient Dashboard features. The Pre-Submission Validation Application (PSVA) tool assists hospitals and their vendors to identify and correct errors within their Quality Reporting Document Architecture (QRDA) Category I files prior to data submission to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) electronic clinical quality measure (eCQM) data receiving system. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) data receiving system for Calendar Year 2016 reporting is experiencing an increase in Quality Reporting Document Architecture (QRDA) Category I test files with the CMS_0060 and CMS_0062 conformance statements.
