The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) finalized the removal of three eCQMs for the 2024 performance period for Eligible Clinicians in the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) program:
CMS finalized the inclusion of two new eCQMs for the 2024 performance period:
These measures were previously posted to the eCQI Resource Center on the 2024 Pre-Rulemaking EC eCQMs page and have been re-published to the 2024 EC Performance Period eCQMs page. CMS has also finalized the inclusion of one new eCQM for the 2025 performance period: CMS1056: Excessive Radiation Dose or Inadequate Image Quality for Diagnostic Computed Tomography (CT) in Adults (Clinician Level). This measure is now published on the 2025 EC Performance Period eCQMs page.

No changes have been made to Value Sets, Direct Reference Codes, or Terminology. The 2024 performance period eCQM value sets are available through the National Library of Medicine’s Value Set Authority Center (VSAC). These measures will continue to be included in the downloadable resources from the VSAC for 2024 performance period.
