The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Announces Calendar Year (CY) 2025 Medicare Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS) and Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) Payment System Proposed Rule!
On July 10, 2024, CMS’ CY 2025 Medicare Hospital OPPS/ASC Payment System Proposed Rule was released, which can be downloaded from the Office of the Federal Register starting on July 10, 2024.
Each year, CMS issues a proposed rule to update the CY Medicare payment rates and policies furnished under the OPPS/ASC, including those which relate to the outpatient quality reporting programs. CMS welcomes public comment on these proposals via online submission or mail, until the end of the public comment period on September 9, 2024.
