Now Available: Revised eCQM Measure Files and Measures Table for 2023 Reporting Period for Eligible Hospitals (EH) and Critical Access Hospitals (CAH)

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has finalized the inclusion of two additional eCQMs for the 2023 reporting period for Eligible Hospital and Critical Access Hospital programs: CMS334v4: Cesarean Birth and CMS1028v1: Severe Obstetric Complications. These measures were previously posted to the EH/CAH Pre-Rulemaking eCQMs page on the eCQI Resource Center.

The updated Hospital Quality Reporting Table of eCQMs (PDF) and eCQM Specifications for Hospital Quality Reporting (ZIP) have been re-published on the eCQI Resource Center on the eCQM Resources tab for Eligible Hospital/Critical Access Hospital eCQMs. The Value Sets for use with CMS334v4 are available on the eCQM Resources Tab in a ZIP file. The Value Sets for use with CMS1028v1 are available via the downloadable files on the VSAC.

No changes have been made to Value Sets, Direct Reference Codes, or Terminology. The 2023 reporting period eCQM value sets are available through the National Library of Medicine’s Value Set Authority Center (VSAC).
