Now Available: Additional EH and CAH eCQM Flows for 2023 Reporting Period
Now Available: Additional Eligible Hospitals (EH) and Critical Access Hospitals (CAH) Electronic Clinical Quality Measure (eCQM) Flows for 2023 Reporting Period.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has finalized the inclusion of two new eCQMs for the 2023 reporting period for Eligible Hospital and Critical Access Hospital programs: CMS334v4: Cesarean Birth (PC-02) and CMS1028v1: Severe Obstetric Complications (PC-07). These measures are included in the eCQM Specifications for Hospital Quality Reporting (ZIP) on the eCQM Resources Tab of the eCQI Resource Center.
CMS developed electronic clinical quality measure (eCQM) flows for these two new measures, which are intended to supplement the eCQM specifications by providing a concise overview of measure logic. A comprehensive package of all eCQM flows for the 2023 reporting period has been re-published on the eCQI Resource Center on the eCQM Resources tab for Eligible Hospital/Critical Access Hospital eCQMs.
These flows are intended to be used as an additional resource when implementing eCQMs and should not be used in place of the eCQM specification or for reporting purposes. A “Read Me First” guide is available to assist users as they navigate the flows.
No changes have been made to the posted eCQM specifications, Value Sets, Direct Reference Codes, or Terminology.
