Now Available: 2024 CMS QRDA III Implementation Guide, Schematron, and Sample Files for Eligible Clinician Programs
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has published the 2024 CMS Quality Reporting Document Architecture (QRDA) Category III Implementation Guide (IG), Schematron, and Sample Files for Eligible Clinician Programs. The 2024 CMS QRDA III IG outlines requirements for eligible clinicians to report electronic clinical quality measures (eCQMs) for the calendar year 2024 performance period for these programs:
- APM Performance Pathway (APP)
- MIPS Value Pathway (MVP)
- Primary Care First (PCF)
- Traditional Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS)
The 2024 CMS QRDA III IG contains these high-level changes, as compared with the 2023 CMS QRDA III IG:
- Updated dates throughout the IG to support the 2024 performance period
- Updated Table 15: UUID List for MIPS CY 2024 Performance Period eCQM Specifications Eligible Clinicians to the 2024 eCQMs
Changes to the 2024 CMS QRDA III Sample Files:
- Sample files have been updated to support updates as outlined in this version of the IG
Please note: We will release an update of the 2024 CMS QRDA III IG, Schematron, and Sample Files based on the publication of the 2024 Physician Fee Schedule Final Rule expected in the fall of 2023. Measure tables will be updated and other content may change in the IG based on the Final Rule.
