Introducing Health Level 7 (HL7) Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR®) for Implementers Webinar

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is hosting a webinar on the Health Level Seven International (HL7) FHIR standard to highlight the next generation exchange framework being adopted by the healthcare community to advance interoperability. CMS is exploring FHIR’s potential use in quality measurement and how it can provide a means for representing and sharing standardized information among clinicians and organizations using a common specification which is flexible enough to meet the needs of various implementers.  

As part of continued education and outreach for emerging standards, this webinar will be a beginner-level introduction to the standard for quality measure implementers and health IT professionals. The presentation will focus on using FHIR to represent electronic clinical quality measures (eCQMs) and navigation of implementation guides used for quality measurement.
