Call for eCQM Public Comment: Diagnostic Delay in Venous Thromboembolism (DOVE) Electronic Clinical Quality Measure (eCQM)

As part of its measure development process, Brigham and Women’s Hospital requests comments on candidate or concept eCQMs. The purpose of the DOVE eCQM is to quantify the rate of delayed diagnosis of venous thromboembolism (VTE) following a primary care encounter where patients self-report VTE symptoms. A delayed diagnosis is defined as a VTE that is not diagnosed within 24 hours of the primary care encounter, within 30 days. This measure is specified at the clinician group level of integrated healthcare systems.

Type of Feedback Requested:
The measure developer is looking for public comment from clinicians, informaticians, policy makers, persons and family members and any other stakeholders on the current measure specifications of the DOVE eCQM. The survey tool link can be found here. See a measure information sheet and the Measure Information Form. The survey consists of multiple choice and short answer questions and is expected to take less than 15 minutes to complete.

The public comment period opens on 2/13/2023 and closes on 4/10/2023.
