New Updates on the eCQI Resource Center - USCDI+ Quality Update
In late 2021, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) announced the United States Core Data for Interoperability (USCDI)+ initiative that builds on the USCDI model to address the need for harmonized data elements for a wider set of use cases than USCDI, especially priority use cases across federal agencies. Over the past year, ONC and its partners, including the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), developed a draft USCDI+ data element list for quality measurement (USCDI+ Quality) to serve as a baseline dataset to support electronically reported quality measures.
ONC announces the release of the draft USCDI+ Quality data element list for public comment and the USCDI+ Quality Draft Data Element List Overview Guide. ONC requests feedback on this first draft of the USCDI+ Quality data element list, particularly on its level of completeness, level of specificity, and usefulness of companion guidance. Comments are due by 11:59 EDT on Friday, June 30, 2023.
Comments can be submitted to the USCDI+ Quality tracker in the ONC Project Tracking System. To submit a comment, you must have an active Jira account. If you do not have one, you may create an account here.
