Program Candidate eCQMs are eCQMs not yet adopted for use in a CMS quality reporting program. The eCQM specifications use versions of standards and tools designated for a specific reporting/performance period. Program Candidate eCQMs are not eligible for CMS quality reporting until CMS proposes and finalizes through notice-and-comment rulemaking for each applicable program.

Submit feedback on the potential use of eCQMs in CMS quality programs during formal CMS public comment periods associated with the relevant proposed rules.
