What is CQL?
Clinical Quality Language (CQL) is a Health Level Seven International® (HL7®) standard language designed to be easy for people to read while also supporting electronic processing. It allows measure developers to write quality measure logic in a format that is both human-readable and computer-readable. Developers with access to the Measure Authoring Development Integrated Environment (MADiE) can use CQL to create and maintain eCQMs and dQMs.
