Now Available: Revised eCQM Measure Files and Measures Table for 2024 Reporting Period for Eligible Hospital / Critical Access Hospital (EH / CAH)

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has finalized the addition of two eCQMs for the 2024 reporting period for Eligible Hospital / Critical Access Hospital eCQMs: CMS529v4: Core Clinical Data Elements for the Hybrid Hospital-Wide Readmission (HWR) Measure with Claims and Electronic Health Record Data and CMS844v4: Core Clinical Data Elements for the Hybrid Hospital-Wide (All-Condition, All-Procedure) Risk-Standardized Mortality Measure (HWM). These measure specifications were previously posted to the Pre-Rulemaking Hybrid Measures page on the eCQI Resource Center.

The following files have been updated: 
•    Hospital Quality Reporting Table of eCQMs (PDF)
•    Technical Release Notes (PDF)
•    Technical Release Notes (ZIP)

These documents have been re-published on the eCQM Resources tab for Eligible Hospital / Critical Access Hospital eCQMs.

No changes have been made to Value Sets, Direct Reference Codes, or Terminology. The 2024 reporting period eCQM value sets are available through the National Library of Medicine’s Value Set Authority Center (VSAC). These measures will continue to be included in the downloadable resources from the VSAC for 2024 reporting period.
