Updated Value Set Guidance - LOINC Discouraged Concepts on the eCQI Resource Center
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has updated value set guidance.
Updates to Value Set Content
CMS has posted new value set guidance regarding Concepts with Logical Observation Identifiers, Names and Codes (LOINC) status Discouraged" on the Value Set Information page. The guidance includes:
- An overview of LOINC Concepts with the status of "Discouraged"
- Information for value set authors on mapping of these concepts and finding remapped codes
