Medicare Promoting Interoperability Program eCQM Requirements in CY 2023

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) would like to remind eligible hospitals and critical access hospitals (CAHs) participating in the Medicare Promoting Interoperability Program that they are required to report on a total of four electronic clinical quality measures (eCQMs) in calendar year (CY) 2023. This includes three self-selected eCQMs, plus the Safe Use of Opioids – Concurrent Prescribing measure.

As a reminder, when participants report on the four required eCQMs, they must submit a full year’s worth of data beginning with the reporting period in CY 2023. The table showcases all eCQMs available to report for CY 2023.
