2024 Annual Update Webinar - December 7, 2023 

Series Description 
The Expert to Expert webinar series provides a deep-dive into measure intent, logic, and other clinical/technical aspects of eCQMs to assist hospitals to improve data use for quality improvement. The webinar series incorporates content from The Joint Commission, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Mathematica, and other measure stewards. This webinar series addresses eCQMs for 2024 implementation.

Audience Statement
Expert to Expert webinars are intended for a technical audience, such as: electronic health record (EHR) report writers, hospital information technology (IT) staff engaged in eCQM implementation, Clinical Informaticists, EHR Analysts, and vendor staff that support hospitals in Clinical Quality Language (CQL) implementation and eCQM use. Clinical staff attending should be conversant in technical eCQM implementation concepts and language. Video Shorts on eCQM/CQL Basics are available on the Joint Commission website. Additionally, please visit "Get Started with eCQMs." You will find a collection of resources to help you get started with eCQMs. 

Topics not covered in these webinars:
- Basic eCQM concepts
- Chart abstracted measures
- Process improvement efforts related to this measure
- eCQM validation

Slides will be available for download from within the webinar platform approximately 1 hour before the broadcast begins.
The recording, slides, and Q&A document* will be available on The Joint Commission website within several weeks of the broadcast (*Q&A requires CMS approval before posting). 

Session Description and Objectives
This 90-minute eCQM Annual Update webinar will address the 2024 Annual Updates for the Severe Hyper- and Hypo-Glycemia eCQMs. Common questions from JIRA and other sources will be addressed. Additionally, participants will be invited to submit questions for response by subject matter experts during a live Q&A segment. The learning objectives are: 
1.    Navigate the eCQI Resource Center website to locate measure specifications, value sets, measure flow diagrams and technical release notes.
2.    Apply concepts learned about the logic and intent for the Severe Hyper- and Hypo-Glycemia eCQMs,
3.    Prepare to implement the Severe Hyper- and Hypo-Glycemia eCQMs for the 2024 eCQM reporting period, and
4.    Identify common issues and questions regarding the Severe Hyper- and Hypo-Glycemia eCQMs.

1) Individually register for the webinar.
2) Attend the entire live broadcast. Only those attending the live broadcast will be eligible to receive credit.
3) Complete a post-program evaluation/attestation. The program evaluation/attestation link will be sent to your registered email after the webinar.

For those that meet the eligibility criteria for CEs, upon completion of the evaluation survey/attestation, an automated email will provide a link to the CE certificate.
