Health Quality Measure Format (HQMF) Now a Normative Standard

The Health Quality Measure Format (HQMF) is a Health Level Seven (HL7) standard for representing a health quality measure as an electronic document. HQMF, previously a draft standard for trial use (DSTU), is now a normative standard and is available for download by HL7 members. This latest version has been approved by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) as a normative standard.

Now Available: Updated CMS Measures Inventory and the Measures under Development (MUD) List

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Measures Inventory and the Measures under Development (MUD) list have been updated and publicly posted on the CMS website on July 6th.  The Inventory includes 30 programs, 2,180 unique measures - including the addition of the eCQMs, and is accompanied by the CMS Measures Inventory User Guide.  The MUD List contains 30 programs and 535 unique measures.  The next public posting will be in Fe

Health IT Certification for eCQM Reporting

The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology’s (ONC) Health IT Certification Program is a voluntary certification program established by ONC to provide for the certification of health IT on use of standards, implementation specifications, and certification criteria.  The ONC Health IT Certification Program supports the availability of certified health IT for encouraged and required users under federal, state and private programs.
