Now Available: Pre-Submission Validation Application (PSVA) Tool Release

Updates to the Pre-Submission Validation Application (PSVAinfo-icon) tool are now available. The PSVA tool assists hospitals and their vendors in identifying and correcting errors within their Quality Reporting Document Architecture (QRDAinfo-icon) Category I files prior to submission of electronic clinical quality measureinfo-icon (eCQMinfo-icon) data to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) data receiving system via the QualityNetinfo-icon Secure Portal. This encompasses three major product enhancements for the end user, as listed below:

  • Provides an installer for the tool, which will facilitate the ease of application installation. The installer also negates the need for end users to download and install Java, as the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) is already included in the installation package.
  • Informs end users, through the user manual, how to save files which have already been validated, so the user can resubmit the files at a later time, as needed.
  • Regarding the feedback reports generated by the PSVA tool, the feedback reports will only contain the errors that need to be addressed so the user can quickly identify errors they need to fix in their files. 

Users will need to download the updated tool to continue using it. New users of the PSVA
tool must login to the QualityNet Secure Portal with valid user credentials to download the PSVA tool.
