FY 2018 IPPS Proposed Rule Published, Open for Public Comment until June 13, 2017

On April 28, 2017, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) fiscal year (FY) 2018 Inpatient Prospective Payment System (IPPS) and the Long-Term Care Hospital (LTCH) Prospective Payment System (PPS) Proposed Rule published in the Federal Register (82 FR 19796). The FY 2018 IPPS Proposed Rule initially went on display at the Office of the Federal Register Public Inspection Desk on April 14, 2017.

CMS will accept comments on the proposed rule until June 13, 2017, and will respond to all comments in a final rule to be issued by August 1, 2017.
