The Transformation of our Health System - Disruptors and Implications for Clinical Decision Support

Our healthcare system is transforming to a patient-centered "health system", as a result of many concurrent disruptors. As a consequence, the focus is shifting from practice or enterprise optimization of workflow, costs, and quality, to the so-called quadruple aim of enhancing patient experience, improving population health, reducing costs, and improving the work life of health care providers. This is all viewed in the context of a "learning health system" that continually improves itself, based on new knowledge and feedback of its own performance. 

CDC RFI Seeks Input on Adherence to Clinical Guidelines and Information Flow

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) seeks to help improve adherence to clinical guidelines and information flow between public health and healthcare entities. CDC is seeking input in a Request for Information (RFI) to better understand the challenges and opportunities for public health, and in particular the CDC, can positively impact clinical decision making.
