The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) invites you to the “Cooking with Clinical Quality Language (CQL): or How to Incorporate CQL into Health Quality Measure Format (HQMF) for Electronic Clinical Quality Measures (eCQMs)” webinar.

The Cooking with CQL series provides an interactive environment for measure developers. The upcoming sessions will feature open discussion from subject matter experts on the Measure Authoring Tool (MAT), show how to express measures using CQL and review questions.

What is the Quality Data Model (QDM)?

The Quality Data Model (QDM) is an information model that defines relationships between patients and clinical concepts in a standardized format to enable electronic quality performance measurement. The model is the current structure for electronically representing quality measure concepts for stakeholders involved in electronic quality measurement development and reporting. The QDM is currently being aligned with other relevant clinical decision support (CDS) standards.

PSVA Tool Now Available to Validate the QRDA Category I File Format for the Voluntary Hybrid HWR Measure

The Pre-Submission Validation Application (PSVA) tool has been updated and is now accepting submissions of Quality Reporting Document Architecture (QRDA) Category I files for the voluntary Hybrid Hospital-Wide Readmission (HWR) measure to the Hospital Inpatient Quality Reporting (IQR) Program.

CMS Announces Updates to eCQM Value Sets for 2019 Reporting and Performance Periods

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the National Library of Medicine (NLM) will publish updates to the electronic clinical quality measure (eCQM) value sets to align with the most recent releases to terminologies, including, but not limited to, International Classification of Diseases (ICD)-10 Clinical Modification (CM) and Procedure Coding System (PCS), SNOMED CT, LOINC, RxNorm, and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT).

Now Available: Cypress v4.0

Cypress v4.0 is now available to support 2015 Edition certification for electronic clinical quality measures (eCQM). Cypress v4.0 supports testing the Eligible Hospital / Critical Access Hospital eCQMs and Eligible Professional / Eligible Clinicians eCQMs updated for calendar year 2019 reporting.  The new v4.0 release and release notes are available on the Cypress website.
