Updated eCQM menu and language on the eCQI Resource Center
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) electronic Clinical Quality Improvement (eCQI) Resource Center has updated the language on the electronic clinical quality measure (eCQM) menu and website, identifying hospital programs by the terms Inpatient and Outpatient.
The changes reflect the use of eCQMs in various CMS quality reporting programs. These are represented as Hospital–Inpatient eCQMs and Hospital-Outpatient eCQMs. There are no language changes to the Eligible Clinician eCQMs menus or pages. Programs using eCQMs for any given reporting year are listed on the About tab for each eCQM category i.e. Eligible Clinican, Hospital-Inpatient, Hospital-Outpatient.
