eCQI Resource Center Summer Updates

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is creating new looks and names for some of its listservs. Soon, CMS will be launching a new design for this eHealth listserv. In addition to the new look, the name will be changed to the “CMS QMVIG Updates” listserv. Stay tuned for these changes!

Additional Background

On August 17, 2018, CMS published the Fiscal Year (FY) 2019 Medicare Hospital Inpatient Prospective Payment System (IPPS) for Acute Care Hospitals and Long-term Care Hospital (LTCH) Prospective Payment System Final Rule. In the FY 2019 IPPS final rule, CMS continued its overhaul of the Promoting Interoperability (PI) Programs to continue:

  • The advancement of CEHRT utilization
  • Focusing on burden reduction
  • Improving interoperability and patient access to health information

Please note: Only the name and look of the eHealth listserv will be changing. As a subscriber of this listserv, you will automatically be subscribed to the CMS QMVIG Update listserv.
